With digital marketing so powerful and agents focusing mainly on the internet to advertise properties is there still a place for the For Sale sign?
It depends on the property being advertised, and the cost for the sign. There were days when a For Sale sign would be referred to as your “24 Hour Agent”. Now the internet and mobile phones have taken it’s place in effectiveness to attract buyers but the general purpose of the sign remains the same, it lets people know that firstly, we are selling and secondy this is where the property is.
Will a giant sign with glossy photos and flashing lights sell your home? Probably not. The sign should direct people to two places:
Firstly, the agent’s website or telephone number and secondly, to the property itself so that people coming for inspections can find the property easily.
